L.L.Bean marks 100 years with ‘Bootmobile’ tour
- The Maine retailer is launching its celebration with a special outdoor collection, a partnership with the National Park Foundation, and the debut of the “L.L.Bean Bootmobile.”
CONFESSION: I have owned more than one pair of Bean Boots (side note: I hate that they changed the official name to Bean Boot, from Maine Hunting Shoe—even though I often referred to mine by the former). I realize that they are ugly as shit, but they get the job done, they last forever, and in south Louisiana, they are useful about 150 days a year.
My wife disagrees. I ceased being an owner/operator about 10 years ago. You have to pick your battles, guys.
